One of the best moves he ever made was to the Independent Living section of Windsor. What he, his family, and his friends all experienced was something wonderful. Any senior residence can care FOR the people who live there. But Windsor distinguishes itself by the way the staff cares ABOUT the residents. When I lost Dad last January, I knew my loss was shared by those who cared for -- and about. Chuck Moncrief Almost a year ago, we moved my mother into Windsor. This was her third move. Due to her health, we had concerns and worries. When we spoke with Windsor, they assured us they could meet all my mother's needs, especially since we knew she would need added care with time. I can say the excellent Windsor staff followed through with all they promised and far exceeded anything we could have hoped for. My mom's last year at Windsor provided her with more than just a home. The caregivers that took care of her did so with such love and compassion, it touched my family's heart and gave us peace. We knew mom was in a wonderfully caring and loving environment, and we will always keep the Windsor family in our hearts. If anyone is looking for a place for their loved ones, I cannot imagine looking any further. They are such a caring group of people. My family has been blessed with the experience we had with them. The Family of Patricia Hassell My mother Mattie lives at the Winsor in the Memory unit.....she is 97 years and was living alone at a retirment community 1 year ago. My mother had a very serious stay in the hospital and during that time I met with several memory units in the DFW area. I have been involved in several previous situations with elderly care and I knew what I was looking for my beloved mother. When I found the Aster at Windsor Senior Living I knew that it was the community for mother. I check on mom almost every day and the cleanliness, personal care, activities and staff are just fabulous. I truly value how the team there is willing to work with me on her individual needs. I would recommend Windsor to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care. Jim Tolbert I moved my mother to Windsor Sr. Living and the secure Aster floor in August of 2010. The move was a very difficult decision since her husband would be staying behind in their home which is 4 hours away. From my first initial visit with Laura, then Carmelita and Mary, ending with all the final paper work in Mark's office it was confirmation that I was moving mom into her next "home". The staff has become our extended family. Each time mom's husband comes to visit they welcome him as a part of this new "family" and are very understanding that his life changed drastically as well. The care is exceptional and mother is very happy in her new environment. We feel very blessed to be a part of the Windsor Sr. Living family! The staff at the entire community has gone out of their way for us in every possible way. Each staff member is passionate about their job and they truly care for each resident. Also, another bonus about Windsor is that the food is really good and they offer a variety of different options at every meal for my family member. If you're in need of finding a senior living option for a family member, I would highly recommend taking a tour of it. He first lived in the Assisted Living area and now is living in the Astor which is the memory care section of the Windsor. I cannot even begin to write about how highly I think about the Windsor. It has been such a fabulous place for my Dad to live and I am thankful every single day that he is there. The staff and management of the Windsor Senior Living are incredible and I really mean incredible and there has never been a need that wasn't met almost immediately. I have always had the full support of all decisions I need to make about my Dad and their advice has been a huge blessing in my life. It's a beautiful place, I love coming there to visit my Dad, it's like coming home. Parent has lived in both Assisted Living and Certified Memory Care Thank you for letting me know. When I spoke to her this evening, she did remember that she went on a trip to a house of a "movie star", but couldn't remember who. It must of made an impression on her because she remembered going, which these days is getting more and more difficult for her. Thank you so much for getting her out and about, because she is on my tail about her car and being able to go out and explore. So, the more we can get her out, the better she will feel about what she calls, "being constrained and locked up" She has had nothing but positive comments about the staff and residents.
