Mark WhitmanExecutive DirectorMark Whitman is a specialist in the senior living industry with more than 20 years experience. Mark and his family moved to Dallas more than a decade ago where Mark served as Vice President of Operations for Greenbriar Corporation. In 2003, he founded Southwest Senior Management, a consulting company, providing comprehensive on-site operational, marketing and management services. Additionally, Mark served as Dallas-based Regional Director of Operations for Assisted Living Concepts - providing leadership for 15 East Texas Senior Living properties.Mark has a passion for seniors. In his words, "They lived through a period of time where they witnessed and had to learn to deal with tremendous change. To listen to their stories is phenomenal! We sit with them, listen to their stories, and encourage the residents to share their lives. It is so rewarding. Being at Windsor is my opportunity to give back to the residents a quality of life that I see they cannot get other places." When hiring staff, Mark does not just look for experience. "Training is the easy part," he says. "I look for heart, because heart matters most. We are privileged to work in our residents' homes, and to be a part of their families.
